Will Seedance 2.5 have an API? Yes — ByteDance distributes Seedance through its Volcano Engine platform, so 2.5 will be reachable programmatically there at launch. As of July 20, 2026 there is no public API — the model is in closed beta, and mid-July third-party reports of an API opening proved premature. If you'd rather skip the integration work, you can use Seedance today through PonPon — no code required.
Seedance 2.5 API: what's known
ByteDance offers its models — including the Seedance line — through Volcano Engine, its cloud and AI platform. Seedance 2.5 is expected to follow the same path: programmatic access via Volcano Engine once it launches. What hasn't been announced is the exact endpoints, parameters, rate limits, and per-generation pricing. We'll update this page when ByteDance publishes the API spec; until then, treat anything else you read about a "Seedance 2.5 API" as unconfirmed.
