When did Seedance 2.0 release?
Seedance 2.0 is already out and is the current production Seedance model. You can use it today on PonPon — it's included in a PonPon subscription, and most clips render in under a minute. There's no waiting list and no Volcano Engine setup required.
When does Seedance 2.5 release?
ByteDance announced Seedance 2.5 on June 23, 2026 at its Volcano Engine FORCE conference and initially signaled an early-July launch window. That window has passed: as of July 20, 2026 the model is still in closed beta, with no public API, pricing, or confirmed date. The strongest official signal is CapCut's teaser that Dreamina Seedance 2.5 is coming soon to CapCut.
